An Air Charter Law resource Provided by Aero Attorney Group for general information. Not legal advice or an operational flight plan.
How the model works Great-circle distance uses airport coordinates and a spherical Earth radius of 3,440.065 nautical miles. Airborne time = modeled distance ÷ groundspeed + climb / descent allowance. Groundspeed = cruise speed − headwind. Block time adds the taxi allowance for each leg. Multi-stop totals sum all legs and exclude time spent at stops.
Aircraft speeds are editable, representative planning assumptions, not guaranteed performance or manufacturer maximums. Altitude, power, aircraft variant and conditions change actual performance. The climb / descent allowance is a simple time adjustment, not a flight profile simulation.
The range warning compares each leg’s great-circle and modeled distance with the editable estimated aircraft range. Every aircraft has a published illustrative preset from manufacturer specifications, aircraft handbooks, or representative operator or seller specifications. Presets use different payload, cruise, fuel, and reserve assumptions; some exclude reserves. Range cruise settings may differ from the flight-time cruise setting. Source notes identify relevant variants. Adjust the preset to an operator-confirmed range for the specific aircraft and mission. Download all aircraft range sources (reviewed October 8, 2026). A warning identifies distance exceeding that assumption, not operational feasibility. It does not assess fuel, reserves, payload, runway suitability, weather, terrain, airspace, or legal route availability. A displayed route may require fuel stops. Confirm operational planning with aircraft documentation and current aviation sources.
Airport coordinates: OurAirports open data · Snapshot 7 October 2026 · airports. Closed airports and heliports excluded; operating status is not independently verified.
Disclaimer and Acknowledgment of Rights Illustrative estimates only All distances, flight times, aircraft specifications, and performance assumptions displayed by this calculator are approximate and provided solely for general information and illustrative purposes. Aircraft data reflects representative planning assumptions and may differ by model, variant, configuration, and individual aircraft.
Distances represent calculated great-circle routes between airport coordinates. Actual flight paths and distances may vary. Estimated airborne and block times depend on the selected assumptions; actual times may differ due to weather, winds, air traffic control, routing, altitude, aircraft performance, airport conditions, and operational requirements. Multi-stop totals exclude time spent at intermediate stops.
Selection of an aircraft or display of a route does not establish that the aircraft can safely or legally operate the proposed itinerary. The illustrative range warning compares leg distance with an estimated range assumption only. Absence of a warning does not establish nonstop capability. This calculator does not evaluate fuel requirements, reserves, payload, runway suitability, airport availability, or regulatory restrictions.
Results are not an operational flight plan, a charter quotation, or a guarantee of aircraft capability or travel time. Confirm aircraft specifications, route feasibility, and anticipated flight times with the aircraft operator before making travel or operational decisions.
